End User Advisory Board
Role
It is the TALOS project's implementation policy definition body that consults the executive level in all relevant aspects. It focuses on the political and strategic orientation of the project so the role of the Board covers:
- proposing of the TALOS project policy towards the EC and towards other projects,
- monitoring and approval of the project goals towards the realization,
- providing comments on the user requirements documents,
- evaluating and assessing the project results,
- assisting in assessment of the sensitivity of the reports and deliverables,
- assisting in controlling the dual-use equipment evaluation and exploitation,
- general supervision of the project activities and the "Dissemination and Use plan",
- consulting in changes of the project constitution,
- consulting for achieving best decision making process from implementation perspective,
- assistance in implementation of the project results into the border guard activities,
- consulting in the solution of high level technical issues for the project and recommendations for eventual plan re-orientations.
The additional role for the EUAB will be support of the project partners in organization of national workshops dedicated for End-users that will asses the proposed scenarios and update them with local elements.
StructureThe Board is constituted from 1 representative from border guards from each country of project Partners. The Board will be chaired by the representative of FRONTEX agency.
The Board will consist of three major subgroups which are:
- R&D Advisory Group - which tasks will focus on technical aspects of the designed system,
- Dual Use Advisory Group - which tasks will cover ethical issues related to the project,
- Security Sensitive Information Advisory Group - which aim will be to advise the consortium with identification and protection of any security sensitive information that may be produced by the project.
Each of EUAB members is entitled to participate in any subgroup, according to own interest and needs.
